Architectural guidelines, before you draw the plan.

In most new Calgary communities a house needs the developer's architectural approval as well as the City's permits. These guides read each community's published guidelines and pull out the rules that shape a floor plan.

Two approvals, not one

In most new Calgary communities the developer registers architectural guidelines on title. Before the City sees your building permit, the developer's architectural consultant approves the house: its massing, roof, garage, materials and colours.

Each guide here is read from the developer's own published document, cited and dated. Guidelines change between phases, so confirm the version for your lot with the developer before you finalize the plan.

On the studio's LED floor your plan is shown at full size, so you can walk it room by room while a change is still an edit to a drawing.
